Life can be too serious at times you need a good laugh and some escapism. In October Vertigo Releasing promise they have that ‘escapism’ in the shape of Idiots. How crazy? Watch the unhinged UK Trailer.

Macon Blair‘s latest film made it’s premiere back at Sundance Film Festival in January. Going by the early reviews Idiots (which was originally called Sh&theads) loving the raucous, fun tone. We are big fans of Blair from his films like Blue Ruin, Green Room and recently The Toxic Avenger reboot. This just ticks all those the boxes that describe it, Dumb and Dumber meets Midnight Run!!

Idiots stars Dave Franco, O’Shea Jackson Jr and Mason Thames. We follow two incapable drivers (Franco and Jackson Jr) who must transport a problematic entitled teen (Thames) to a rehab. However things spiral out of control thanks to that teen.

If your looking for 100% dumb film this looks will fill that void. It looks like its actually celebrating that dumb level, a 98 minute road trip, embrace the chaos.

This one also stars Kiernan Shipka, Nicholas Braun, and Peter Dinklage.

Synopsis | Two rock-bottom drivers transport a wealthy teen to rehab, but their simple job spirals into a chaotic journey of drugs, danger, and crime as their passenger derails their plans.

Vertigo Releasing are set to give Idiots a Digital release in the UK and Ireland on 2nd October.
