That dollar amount results from a 7.7% increase from $1.86 billion four years earlier since 2022.
Year over year, the overall value of goods exported from Wyoming declined by -3.7% compared to $2.08 billion for 2024.
Wyoming ranks among America’s 3 smallest exporters by state ahead of South Dakota and Hawaii.
The value of Wyoming’s exports equals 0.1% of the United States’ overall exported products (US$2.178 trillion) for 2025.
Wyoming’s exported products represent 3.8% of the state’s total economic output or nominal Gross Domestic Product in 2025 ($52.6 billion). That percentage is less than the 3.9% for the prior year.
Given Wyoming’s population of 589,618 people, its total US$2 billion in 2025 exports translates to roughly $3,400 for every resident in the Equality State. That dollar metric lags the average $3,500 per capita for 2024.

In second place for improving export sales were processed petroleum oils excluding diesel which gained 100.7%.
The third-fastest advance was the 78.7% uptick for Wyoming’s shipments of smartphones, ahead of parts or accessories for military weapons (up 30.7%).
Year over year, there were two double-digit percentage decliners among Wyoming’s top 10 export products: bentonite including calcined varieties (down -37.1%) used in construction, industrial processes and personal care, then disodium carbonate (down -14.4%) used in cleaning, glass manufacturing and water treatment.

Another 29.3% was bought by major South American importers (Chile, Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina).
