DENVER (KDVR) — A 31-year-old woman was served a felony summons for arson in connection with a fire that sparked on June 14 between Flagstaff Drive and Boulder Canyon Drive, according to the Boulder County Sheriff's Office.

Zasquin Benally-Bartell, of Louisville, was served with a summons for two counts of fourth-degree arson and is scheduled to appear on the charges at the Boulder County Jail on July 11.

Boulder Fire-Rescue reported the fire was located about a quarter mile southwest of Eben G. Fine Park, about mid-slope on the foothill. The agency said that the humidity and greenery were in their favor that night, but at the time had not identified a cause of the fire.

On Monday, the Boulder County Sheriff's Office said that fire investigators from Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks found two points of origin for the fire, and a deputy was able to track the suspect down based on scene evidence and eyewitness statements.

The fire burned about a quarter acre and multiple agencies responded to help extinguish it. There were no injuries or damages to nearby structures.

Benally-Bartell is the second person to be charged with felony arson out of Boulder County in the past week. On July 4, a suspect in a small grass fire was charged with felony arson.
