Read on to see what will remain open, what will be closed, and what alternatives are available.
What is open
- Denver International Airport will be open.
- Denver sheriff, police and fire departments will be reporting for duty.
- Emergency responders will be reporting for duty.
- City-owned golf courses will remain open.
- Solid Waste Management staff will be working. All collection services will be delivered as regularly scheduled.
- Outdoor spaces at Red Rocks Park and Ampitheatre and its Visitor Center and Trading Post will remain open.
- Scheduled events at Red Rocks Park and Ampitheatre, the Denver Performing Arts Complex, the McNichols Civic Center Building and Denver Public Art will not be affected.
What is closed
- Denver's information line for non-emergency services, 3-1-1 will be closed.
- Service requests may alternatively be submitted online.
- The Denver Animal Shelter will be closed.
- The Night Drop kennels will alternative be open and can be accessed to the left of the front doors. Animal protection officers will also be available to respond to emergencies through 911.
- The Denver Auditor's Office will be closed.
- Building and Zoning will be closed.
- The Community Planning and Development public counter will be available for walk-in or appointments.
- All Denver City Council offices will be closed.
- The Office of the Clerk and Recorder will be closed.
- The Denver County Court and all state-operated courts will be closed.
- The Denver Motor Vehicle Title and Registration will be closed.
- Residents can go online to find self-serve kiosk locations or renew their vehicle.
- The Department of Housing Stability will be closed.
- Denver Human Services will be closed.
- Child and adult protection emergency response teams and telephone hotlines will still be taking and responding to reports.
- The Department of Transporation and Infrastructure permit counters and Right of Way Enforcement offices will be closed.
- Residents can alternatively visit Denver's online permitting and licensing center.
- Excise & Licenses customer service counters and offices will be closed.
- Denver Human Rights & Community Partnerships will be closed.
- All Denver Public Library locations will be closed.
- Residents can still access many of the library's resources online.
- The Office of Emergency Management will be closed.
- The Office of Human Resources will be closed.
- Applicant can still search and apply for open positions online.
- The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner will be closed.
- The Parking Magistrate's Office will be closed.
- Parking citation disputes/payments can still be initiated online.
- All Denver Recreation Centers will be closed.
- The Taxpayer Service Center will be closed.
- Online and mail transactions remain available.
- The Vehicle Impound Facility at 5160 York St. will be closed to the public.
- The Denver Vital Records office will be closed.
- Residents can still place orders for birth and death certificates online.
- The Wastewater Management Building at 2000 W. 3rd Ave. will be closed.
- All Denver Workforce Centers will be closed.
Parking meters will all be free for the day, according to the mayor's office.
