DENVER (KDVR) -- An outdoor music and tattoo festival that was set to debut in Denver this month has been cancelled and will be replaced with related events across the city.

The Unhinged Festival was scheduled to bring a lineup of popular metal and rock bands like Knocked Loose, Lamb of God, In This Moment, the Dillinger Escape Plan, Body Count and The Garden to the National Western Stockyards for the festival's debut on July 26 and 27.

On Tuesday, organizers announced in a post on Instagram that the festival "is canceling in its current form," but said the shows will go on at clubs across the city throughout the weekend.

Some of the shows have been announced, including:

"Thanks for sticking with us, see ya in the pit!" The festival said.

Unhinged Fest said that new club shows will be announced soon. Tickets will be released to the public at 5 p.m. Wednesday, and fans who had tickets to the festival will be the first to receive presale codes via email.

All Unhinged Festival tickets will be refunded to the original point of purchase.

FOX31 has reached out to event organizers for comment and has not heard back as of this publication. This article will be updated if more information becomes available.
