UFC fighter Allan Nascimento has been found dead at home at the age of 34.
The Brazilian flyweight was pronounced dead after suffering an apparent heart attack in his sleep, the organisation has announced.
A UFC statement said: “This morning, Monday, August 3, our beloved fighter and exemplary flyweight Allan Nascimento was found unresponsive after suffering an apparent heart attack in his sleep.
“Despite the efforts of the responding medical team, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
“Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Allan’s family, friends, team-mates, and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.”
Nascimento last fought in June, and had won a huge 22 of his 29 fights.
In June he lost to Mitch Raposo in Las Vegas on a split decision.
