Tyson Fury's brother, Roman, kept his undefeated record intact on Saturday night, but the boxing faithful were far from impressed with what they saw.
Fury - who is the half brother of Tyson - was returning to the ring for the first time in eight months. The boxer took on BKB veteran Kevin Greenwood over in Germany on the Agit Kabayel vs Damian Knyba undercard. With brother Tommy and father John in his corner, Fury was looking to make a real statement.
Right from the very first bell, it was apparent that there was a real gulf in class between the pair, as Fury dominated proceedings. While Greenwood never looked in danger of being put to the sword in the opening exchanges, the tide turned in the fourth round of the contest.
With merely seconds to go in the fourth round, Fury detonated a shot to the body, followed by some rather lethargic hooks up top - which did not seem to faze Greenwood at all. However, it was at that point the referee decided to step in and wave off the clash.
Greenwood - who looked like he was just trying to go the distance - cut a rather frustrated figure, as he protested the stoppage, waving his arms in the air. His corner was far from pleased with the decision, and evidently, the fans were as well, after boos echoed around the Rudolf Weber-Arena.
Fury, 29, was seemingly relatively content with his performance, having not fought in eight months. The boxing star is now planning on a big 2026 in the ring. Reacting post-fight, the 29-year-old said: "People forget about me, I've not fought in eight months. This is a hell of a night for me. I want to thank the German crowd even if they don't like me - thanks for coming."
In the main event on Saturday night, Kabayel put the division on notice after knocking out Knyba. There was a lot of pressure on the 33-year-old, as he was trying to remain in pole position for a potential showdown with heavyweight behemoth Oleksandr Usyk. Right from the off, Kabayel's relentless pressure seemed to pay dividends.

That said, Knyba did have his moments, but was ultimately no match for the surging star. Kabayel ramped up the pressure in the third round, landing a barrage of punches, before the referee ultimately stepped in, sparing Knyba from absorbing anymore damage.
"Last time I beat three monsters in the Riyadh Season," said Kabayel - who is now seemingly ready for a crack at Usyk. "Give me the world title fight. I'm ready. Really, I'm ready. Let's go." His manager, Spencer Brown, was quick to step in and offer his verdict, stating: "I think we can [get him to a stadium], yes.”
