The driver of the motorcycle was transported with serious injuries.

Traffic was being diverted from southbound I-25 onto westbound 6th Avenue. However, traffic backups were still present, with slow or stopped traffic in the southbound lanes stretching past Interstate 70.

This is a breaking news story. FOX31 has a crew on the way to the scene to learn more details, including what the hit-and-run vehicle looks like, the extent of the motorcyclist's injuries and how soon the interstate may reopen fully to traffic.
