Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayDENVER (KDVR) — An attempted homicide and first-degree assault suspect is still on the run after a police pursuit and crash on Monday, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
According to CSP, troopers were called to a property damage crash at about 5:13 p.m. on Monday in Welby, which is in Adams County in the northern portion of the Denver Metro area. The crash was reported at East 78th Avenue and York Street.
CSP said that the Adams County Sheriff's Office had been pursuing a black Ford 150 when it crashed at the intersection.
The Ford was traveling west on East 78th Avenue at York Street when a 2022 Subaru Ascent was making a left-hand turn from York Street onto East 78th Avenue, according to CSP.
The agency said that the Ford struck the front passenger side of the Subaru, which had a driver and a passenger inside. No injuries were reported.
Adams County Sheriff's Office deputies continued pursuing the Ford until the suspect entered Interstate 25 from 84th Avenue. The discontinuation was due to safety concerns.
CSP said it is still investigating the crash. The suspect was not identified by CSP on Monday and the agency directed all questions about the pursuit to the Adams County Sheriff's Office.
