DENVER (KDVR) -- Southbound Interstate 25 at 8th Avenue is currently closed due to a fatal crash involving a motorist and a pedestrian near southbound I-25 and 6th Avenue.

The Denver Police Department said in a post on X that officers are currently on scene "working to gather more information."

Alternate routes are advised for now, as of 7:41 a.m.
