Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayDENVER (KDVR) -- Police chased a suspect down southbound Interstate 25 late Monday night, following an apparent domestic violence hostage situation.
The situation began around 11 p.m. Monday after the Commerce City Police Department responded to a call in the Belle Creek area involving a protection order violation, at which point the department says they learned a suspect was holding a victim hostage inside a residence.
The CCPD said they were able to locate the suspect alone in a vehicle near the residence and, with the help of the Colorado State Patrol, chased him into Denver.
The chase ended after CSP used a grappler device to wrap the rear tire of the suspect's vehicle in the 5800 block of I-25, causing him to flee on foot before being caught by an Adams County K9, police said.
The unnamed suspect was arrested and faces charges of felony menacing, second-degree assault and felony eluding.
