Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayDENVER (KDVR) -- A Linne's two-toed sloth pup was born at the Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance on Thursday. The yet-to-be-named new addition is the fifth baby of mom Charlotte and dad Elliot to be born at the DZCA.
The DZCA said in a post on Facebook that mom and her new pup are "thriving" in the "Tropical Discovery" indoor rainforest habitat, with baby to-be-named-later "strong, healthy and nursing like a pro."
Zoogoers may already be able to catch a glimpse of Charlotte and the baby, since the pair has access to the public-facing part of the habitat, the zoo said.
Elliott is currently in the zoo's "Emerald Forest" indoor primate habitat, in order to give Charlotte and the new baby "space to acclimate."
The zoo said a DNA test will need to be done to determine the new pup's sex and name, due to the internal nature of a sloth's reproductive organs.
