Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayDENVER (KDVR) -- Shortly after weather officials predicted, a landspout was spotted in Aurora as severe storms moved across the Eastern Plains on Monday afternoon.
The National Weather Service in Boulder issued a special weather statement just before 3 p.m., warning areas of Adams County about a possible landspout through 3:30 p.m.
Between 3:09 p.m. and 3:13 p.m., Aurora Fire Rescue said a "brief landspout" was observed in Aurora.
The landspout was in an open field and was spotted from the city of Aurora Public Safety Training Center, which is near the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds.
The agency shared photos captured from north of Quincy Avenue looking northeast toward Watkins Road.
Severe weather is expected to wrap up Monday evening, followed by a stretch of dry day through the work week. Chances for storms return with the weekend.
