DENVER (KDVR) — Officers are investigating a crash that caused a truck and a tree to catch fire on Thursday morning, according to a social media post from the Broomfield Police Department.

The incident occurred on Miramonte Boulevard.

Officers have closed off Miramonte Boulevard from Kohl Street to Miramonte Court while investigators are in the area.

Police said that a driver crashed into a parked truck, which resulted in the truck catching fire and spreading to a tree between the sidewalk and the road.

There were no occupants in the truck, and the fire was extinguished.

The woman who was driving the vehicle in the crash was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
