The optimism surrounding the Three Lions’ chances of winning the trophy deteriorated following the dismal goalless draw with Ghana on Tuesday night with Thomas Tuchel’s side looking toothless until a late barrage failed to result in an opener.

Panama have been eliminated after successive defeats to Ghana and Croatia and they will return home over the weekend.
