Alexander Isak has sparked into life to give Liverpool a two-goal lead against Ipswich on Friday night.

The Reds striker has already taken his tally to three goals for the new Premier League season, after bagging against Nottingham Forest last time out.

Now, he already has a brace to his name at Portman Road, with more than half the game left to play.

After taking a strong first touch from Cody Gakpo’s powerful pass through the lines, Isak unleashed a powerful strike into the roof of the net.

A few minutes later, the Swedish forward was at it again.

Once again, Gakpo found his striker with a well-placed outside of the boot pass.

Some tidy footwork saw Isak shift the ball onto his right foot before reversing the shot past the Ipswich goalkeeper and into the back of the net.

It puts Liverpool in the driving seat in a much quieter part of East Anglia.
