Rachel Kolisi shared a health update from her hospital bed this week.

  • Rachel Kolisi shared a lighthearted Instagram post from a hospital bed, surrounded by family, reassuring fans that “all is well” despite the admission.
  • Her caption mixed humour and gratitude, joking about morphine, friendship and “carrying the weight of the world,” while ending on a note of appreciation for love and support.
  • Friends and public figures flooded the comments with well-wishes, while Rachel’s recent year has included major personal growth, fitness challenges and philanthropy work.

South African media personality and philanthropist Rachel Kolisi has reassured followers that she is recovering well after sharing a photo of herself in the hospital surrounded by loved ones.

Taking to Instagram, Rachel posted a lighthearted update from her hospital bed, joking about the situation with her trademark humour.

"Had a few ideas for the caption of this one!" she wrote, before adding: "Nothing like morphine and friendship."

She also reassured concerned followers that there was no major cause for alarm, adding, "On a serious note, all is well. What a blessing it is to be loved."

Friends, family, and followers quickly flooded the comment section with messages of support and well-wishes.

Dancer Takkies Dinwiddy commented: "Sending you so much love and speedy recovery energy, my gorgeous."

Meanwhile, beauty queen Melissa Nayimuli added: "Oh my goodness, wishing you a speedy recovery!"

The hospital update comes amid a particularly busy and transformative period for Rachel. Over the past year, she has openly shared her journey of healing, self-discovery and personal growth following her highly publicised split from Springbok captain Siya Kolisi.

She has also thrown herself into fitness and wellness, recently completing her very first triathlon. This experience previously landed her in the hospital after a fall, though she later confirmed there were no broken bones.

Beyond fitness, Rachel has continued focusing heavily on philanthropy and purpose-driven work. Earlier this year, she opened up about a deeply emotional trip to Angola, during which she visited remote communities and witnessed the country's healthcare challenges firsthand.

She also recently launched her new platform, Falling Forward, which she describes as a space dedicated to sharing the projects, causes and communities she is passionate about.

While Rachel has not shared details surrounding her latest hospital stay, she left us all reassured that she'll be back on her feet in no time.
