The Bulls on Monday announced a host of signings to significantly strengthen their stocks for the 2026/27 season.
Among the notable signings are Springbok flyhalf/fullback Curwin Bosch, young utility back Luan Giliomee and former Junior Springbok captain Hanro Liebenberg.
Bosch, who played two Tests for the Springboks in 2017 and 2018, joins from French club Brive on a three-year deal starting in July. The 28-year-old is seen as a replacement for Johan Goosen, who has retired from rugby.
Teenager Giliomee joins from the Sharks, also on a three-year deal. The former Boland schools star is a flyhalf who can also slot in at fullback.

Loose forward Liebenberg also signed a three-year deal and will arrive from England’s Leicester Tigers. The 30-year-old previously played for the Bulls from 2015 to 2018.
Other long-term signings include wing/fullback Thaakir Abrahams, who returns to South Africa from Munster, fullback Hakeem Kunene (Sharks), winger Dylan Maart (Griquas), centre Sango Xamlashe (Pumas) and prop Mawande Ndanda (Sharks).
Blue Bulls Company CEO Edgar Rathbone said the signings signalled their intent to remain competitive at the highest level.
“We have been very deliberate in our recruitment process, identifying specific areas where we felt we needed to bolster our depth and experience.
“Bringing in players of this calibre, ranging from proven match-winners to the most exciting young talent in the country, is a clear statement of our intent. We are building a squad capable of sustained success in both the URC and Europe, and we are thrilled to welcome these men to the Loftus family,” Rathbone said.
Additionally, the Bulls also announced that junior to senior contract extensions were granted to Jean Erasmus (tighthead prop - three years), Heinrich Theron (lock - three years), JJ Theron (loose forward - two years), Pieter van der Merwe (centre - three years), and Demetri Erasmus (centre - three years).
