Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayDENVER (KDVR) — The 42nd Annual National Stuttering Association Conference will be held in Denver, starting on July 2 and ending on July 6.
The four-day conference will feature a variety of different demographics from the stuttering community who are traveling to Denver to mingle and fulfill the theme of the association that "you're never alone."
In the United States alone, nearly three million people stutter ranging from kids at two-years-old to adults well into their lives, according to the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders.
The National Stutering Association said that conference attendees can look forward to things, including:
- Workshops and sessions to dive deep into life as a person who stutters
- Exciting activities and exercursions exploring the best of Denver
- Loads of fun for the whole family
- Professional Development events for speech-language pathologists
- The unforgettable experience of being surrounded by hundreds of people who get it
The conference is being held at the Denver Sheraton Downtown, but features on and off-site events, including;

- Rockies vs, White Sox Baseball
- Karaoke Night
Those who are looking for inspiration can listen to Keynote speaker Mitch Guerra, a Waco, Texas native. Guerra is a graduate of Texas A&M University, and received his master's degree from Dallas Baptist University.
He works as an elementary P.E. teach and tennis coach, who encourages young people to lead an active life while emphasizing their own stories.
As a person who stutters, he has become a big advocate for students who face diverse challenges, and represented the perserverance of people who stutter when he was a contestant on reality TV show Survivor in the 48th season, delivering his message of inclusivity to a national audience.
