The Diamonds have a trifecta of wins to start their campaign at the 2026 Commonwealth Games.

They get the win comfortably against Malawi, 68-32.

Here's what captain Liz Watson had to say after the game:

"We had to stay patient; I'm really proud we could get the win," she says.

"Credit to Malawi, they brought the physicality. I think to have a scoreline like that is great for us."

But all eyes will be on tomorrow's game as the two undefeated sides of Australia and South Africa meet.

Lachlan Kennedy has spoken to reporters in the mixed zone.

When asked how he was feeling after winning silver, Kennedy said:

Good. Relief. To be able to come out here in those conditions against a field like that and to be able to run a time like that, it just goes to show the faith I have in my team and all the people supporting me back home.

Pride, I guess. Very proud for my country to be able to get them a medal in the Comm Games. Big relief, big relief.

Kennedy was asked how he performed under pressure:

It's all about rising to the occasion, I'm a big believer in you've got to bring your best when it matters most.

So that's what we've been training for all season. We've all been planning for this comp here and my coach (Andrew Iselin) has clearly outdone himself.

Kennedy was also asked about how the Australian squad was performing in Glasgow:

Aussie track [and field] is clearly in the best spot it's ever been. Our team is so strong.

Two Aussie sprint medals? that's crazy at the Comm Games. We're in a real golden age, there's a lot of youngsters, a lot of good veteran talent as well.

I'm just honoured to be a part of the team.

What a performance from Eleanor Patterson!

She equals the Games record of 1.96m in winning gold.

The Victorian had three attempts at a new Games record of 2.00m, but it wasn't to be.

ELEANOR PATTERSON WINS HIGH JUMP GOLD!

The Australian wins her second Commonwealth Games title, 12 years after her first, which was also in Glasgow.

Patterson is still in the competition, with Australian teammate and world champion Nicola Olyslagers (1.93m) bowing out after three unsuccessful attempts at 1.96m.

Patterson cleared 1.96m with her third and final attempt to equal the Games record.

She is now attempting to clear 2.00m, which would be a new Games record.

Nicola Olyslagers has one more attempt.

The gold in the women's high jump will be decided between the two Australians, Nicola Olyslagers and Eleanor Patterson.

Both are attempting to clear 1.96m.

Patterson has missed twice and only has one more attempt left to make a successful clearance.

Alright Netball fans, I've switched my screen from the swimming to our Diamonds and there is a positive update to give you.

The Aussies lead 53-23 in the third quarter!

The squad is a looking little different to the last two matches, as coach Stacey Marinkovich rests a few players, probably for tomorrow's match against South Africa.

In the first quarter, the Diamonds shot with 100 per cent accuracy.

The Australian won bronze in the women's hammer throw with a best effort of 68.05m.

Canada's Olympic and world champion Camryn Rogers won gold with a Games record of 74.91m.

New Zealand's Lauren Bruce (69.82m) was the silver medallist.

Roberts's Australian teammate Stephanie Ratcliffe was seventh with 64.01m.

Meanwhile, Australia's Lindsey Hendy was seventh in the men's long jump T20 final.

Hendy leapt a season-best 5.48m.

Malaysia's Abdul Latif Romly won gold with 7.17m.

South Africa are in the lead after they use their two male swimmers to do the backstroke and breaststroke leg to try and build a big gap.

But it's not enough as Temple brings Australia back into first place with his beautiful butterfly!

Harris then charges down the first 50 metres of the freestyle leg and needs to maintain her speed as South Africa are right on their tails!

IT'S GOLD FOR AUSTRALIA!!

That's our sixth gold in the relays. We are unstoppable!

South Africa with the silver medal and Duncan Scott holds on to get bronze for Scotland.

The last swimming event on day five is the 4x100 mixed medley relay.

Who wants to guess which country is the fastest qualifier? (hint: it's not hard).

Australia will start in lane four and our swimmers will dive into the pool in the following order:

1. Backstroke: Iona Anderson
2. Breaststroke: Sam Williamson
3. Butterfly: Matthew Temple
4. Freestyle: Meg Harris

TORRIE LEWIS WINS BRONZE!

Lewis runs under 11 seconds for the first time, breaking her national record with a time of 10.99.

New Zealand's Zoe Hobbs won gold in 10.93, which was also a national record.

England's Amy Hunt was third in 10.98.

Lewis's bronze is Australia's first medal in the event in 28 years.

Tania Van Heer also claimed bronze in 1998.

Lewis had run 11.00 in the semis to break her freshly minted NR of 11.04, set only last week.

We're moments away from the women's 100m final.

Australia's Torrie Lewis will run from lane three.

Lewis was the fastest qualifier for the final, running a national record of 11.00 in the semis.

Not since the great Raelene Boyle in 1974 has an Australian won gold in this event.

Tania Van Heer is Australia's most recent medallist in the women's 100m, taking bronze in 1998.
