Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayDENVER (KDVR) — Police are searching for a missing 80-year-old man whose vehicle was found near Watson Lake on Tuesday.
Larry Baker was last seen at about 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday when he left his Fort Collins home and was reported missing at about 5 p.m. when he did not return home.
The Larimer County Sheriff's Office said that Baker's family described him as an avid fisherman. Rangers from multiple agencies searched places he visits frequently and located his vehicle at Watson Lake State Wildlife Area, west of Laporte.
The Larimer County Sheriff's Office established a unified command with Poudre Fire Authority, and search and rescue personnel searched the area until midnight.
Crews resumed search operations on Wednesday and are looking for Baker with the assistance of the Larimer County Dive Rescue Team and Colorado Parks and Wildlife. The search team is reportedly using dogs, drones and sonar equipment to guide the search.
At this time, there's no indication of any foul play. However, Watson Lake access was closed on Tuesday and is still closed while teams search the area.
Baker is described as white, male, with white hair, white facial hair, blue eyes and glasses. He is about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and was last seen wearing jeans and a light blue shirt under a striped shirt.
