Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayDENVER (KDVR) — A 26-year-old man has been detained and identified in the case of a missing 14-year-old from Aurora who was last seen on Sunday, June 14.
The teenage girl was reported missing by police on social media on Thursday, June 19. She was last seen at about 8:45 p.m. four days prior.
Her family began offering a reward for information in the teen's disappearance on June 23, and law enforcement began working with the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
On Wednesday, the Aurora Police Department said the Grand County Sheriff's Office, FBI Denver, Homeland Security Denver and the Kremmling Police Department had identified a 26-year-old man as being involved and detained.
Police said the man gave investigators information about the teen's whereabouts, saying she was in Las Vegas.
Charges are pending against the man, Aurora police said.
The teen was safely located with help from FBI Las Vegas and the Las Vegas Metro Police Department, and the investigation into her disappearance is ongoing.
"We are hoping to have more details soon," the Aurora department said.
