Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayLAKEWOOD, Colo. (KDVR) — Residents in a Lakewood neighborhood are speaking out after they say a man has been terrorizing women in their area while touching himself.
The suspect has been seen touching himself inappropriately with his windows down after parking near women for months, but was arrested Wednesday afternoon, according to the Lakewood Police Department. He is not yet being identified by authorities.
His unwanted actions have been observed in a neighborhood off of West Jewell, the Green Mountain Subdivision.
In most instances, the women, including the victim FOX31 spoke to, Marissa, noticed the red truck pull up about 25 to 30 feet in front of them, and then as they pass by, they see what he’s doing through his open window. Marissa saw him for the first time back in April.
"I felt very scared, and it was like fight or flight reflex, so as fast as could, I just kept walking. I didn’t really say or do anything, I just kept going and so then I saw him in the red truck turn down a street and backing up and moving around looking for other people walking so he could do the same thing," she said.
According to posts on neighborhood apps, he’s been at it for months, the most recent reports coming within the last few days. Marissa made a report and even identified who she thought was the suspect with a mugshot lineup back in April.
"The officer did tell me maybe put something out for neighborhood watch and so I posted something on Ring and NextDoor and it sounded like other people were spotting him and on the lookout and now here we are months later and he’s still out there doing it," she said.
In her post on Nextdoor, she shared the photo below of his truck.

One of the main concerns of residents, even though it’s summer, is the multiple schools in the area. One victim claimed to have seen him from on Devinny Elementary.
"It does really make you a little bit more wary of walking by yourself and just doing to things you expect to be able to do in your own neighborhood," Marissa said.
Lakewood Police say they are looking into all of the claims and reports and ask anyone who’s seen this man or may know who he is to please come forward.
