DENVER (KDVR) -- A man was convicted of a deadly shooting involving two teenagers that happened in the summer of 2023.

Orest Schur, 29, was convicted of second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder, a step down from the original first-degree murder and first-degree attempted murder charges he faced.

The shooting occurred in Aurora on July 6, 2023. Police said at the time that the shooting happened after two teenagers allegedly tried to break into Schur's vehicle, then he pursued and shot at them.

Schur is set to be sentenced on Aug. 15.
