Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayDENVER (KDVR) -- A man found floating unresponsively in Boulder Creek on the Fourth of July has died, Boulder city officials announce Tuesday morning.
Boulder police and fire received a 911 call of a man seen in the creek at about 2:30 p.m. Friday near 55th and 63rd streets, according to a city press release. Boulder police used drones to search for the man, and Boulder Fire-Rescue's water rescue team was on the ground.
Rescuers at about 2:45 p.m. found and removed the man from the creek at an underpass at 61st Street just north of Valmont Avenue. They immediately administered CPR, then the man was taken to a hospital.
City officials said he died several days later on Monday night.
The Boulder County Coroner's Office will determine the cause and manner of death, but city officials said police do not suspect foul play. They said there is no risk to the public.
