Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayDENVER (KDVR) — A Breckenridge man is facing several charges after he was arrested Wednesday in connection with a series of vehicle break-ins and thefts.
Ryan Murray was arrested at about 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday by Breckenridge police who executed a search and arrest warrant at his residence on Oak Lane. The agency called the arrest the "culmination of an investigation initiated in April concerning a series of vehicle break-ins and thefts of tools and other items."
Murray has a criminal history and is known to Summit County law enforcement. The Breckenridge Police Department reviewed surveillance footage from multiple locations where Murray's vehicle was reportedly observed.
He is facing charges of first-degree criminal trespass of a motor vehicle, second-degree burglary, identity theft, theft, unauthorized use of a financial transaction device (credit card), and a warrant from Avon police for failure to appear on larceny charges.
Breckenridge police said that over $7,000 in power tools was reported stolen, and some of the items were found at Murray's residence, but others are still missing.
"This case serves as a reminder to lock your vehicles and secure your belongings," the police department said on Facebook.
