'They are not even hiding it anymore'

Indian woman mocked online for showing off her US veteran husband and how she got a marriage-based Green Card in just 2 months.

An Indian woman's video on how she got a Green Card in just two months after marrying an Army veteran triggered a major row on social media as MAGA commentators were flummoxed that Indians are not even hiding the 'scam'.

Marriage-based Green Cards are not scams if the marriage is not void. But Megha Goyal Mitch showing off her quick Green Card and listing out the benefits of getting married to an Army veteran enraged a section."My husband is a US Army veteran who served in two wars, and our immigration journey moved much faster than we imagined," Megha said, flaunting the achievements of her husband, Hill Mitchell. In another video, the husband and wife listed out three benefits of working in the US Army: Free education, free healthcare, and buying a house.

Hill Mitchell explained that he only had to pay for the paperwork for the house -- as the couple has been trying to emerge as Instagram influencers, a desi girl married to an American husband being their speciality.

In their 'influencer' journey, Megha shared her story of how she came to the US in 2019 to study at Arizona State University. In 2020, she completed her master's in Business Analytics, she said. In 2021, she said she matched with Mitchell on a dating app, and in 2023, she got married.

Megha was working for Amazon on an H-1B visa before she became a Green Card holder."New marriage visa fraud scam: marry a US Army Veteran. Megha Mitch shares public video on how she got her Green Card in 2 months & shows off her Green Card. Indian women are marrying American veterans to get Green Cards fast. Who is approving visa fraud at @USCIS @USAndIndia?," one wrote sharing her Instagram video on X."She's blatantly bragging about using the guy for a quick green card. They are addicted to bragging to their fellow j**ts," another said."She’s listing the benefits of marrying a US soldier like a sales brochure: They’re not even hiding it anymore," another wrote.
