Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayDENVER (KDVR) — New traffic impacts have been announced in conjunction with the Interstate 70 Floyd Hill project, including a westbound lane closure overnight on Monday.
On Monday, crews will shift traffic on I-70 heading west toward the median. The shift will be in place between milepost 245 to the U.S. 6 interchange at exit 244.
To facilitate that lane shift, I-70 westbound will be closed overnight Monday into Tuesday — specifically from 10 p.m. on Monday through 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Traffic will be merged into one lane and exit onto County Road 65, before heading west on U.S. 40 and using the U.S. 6 on-ramp to return to westbound I-70.
Additional overnight lane and exit closures are planned.
On Sunday, June 22, CDOT is planning to close the westbound off-ramp from I-70 to U.S. 6, so crews can set up equipment.
On Tuesday, following the westbound I-70 closure, a daytime closure from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. is planned for the eastbound off-ramp from I-70 to Homestead Road. Crews will be installing topsoil. Lanes could be closed on I-70 as well.
The same off-ramp will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 26, for drilling access. Lanes could be closed on that day on I-70, too.
