DENVER (KDVR) — Interstate 70 is closed due to a large brushfire near Rifle on Friday evening, according to a post on X from the Total Traffic & Weather Network - Denver.

The Colorado Department of Transportation said that both eastbound lanes of I-70 are closed between CR-215/Exit 75 and CO-13/Exit 90.

US-6 has also been closed as a precaution.

CDOT said that delays are expected in the area.
