Longtime NFL defensive end Gerry Philbin, who won a Super Bowl with the New York Jets and finished his career with the Philadelphia Eagles, has died. He was 83.

The Jets announced Philbin's passing on social media Wednesday.

Philbin earned two Pro Bowl Selections, was a two-time All-Pro, and also won an AFL championship with the Jets over his 10-year career (1964-73).
