Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayBELGRADE: The arthouse drama Wanderlust / Izlet directed by Nenad Pavlović has been selected as Serbia’s official candidate for the 99th Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences awards in the Best International Feature Film category. The film is a Serbian/British coproduction.
Set as an introspective road film on a riverboat, Izlet follows Toma (played by Stefan Vukić), a young artist struggling to find his identity. Following his father's suicide, Toma embarks on a journey down the river to escape a totalitarian society and his personal grief.
The film was brought to life by the sons of two major figures of Serbian culture: screenwriter Jovan Popović, the son of artist Mića Popović, and director Nenad Pavlović, the son of Black Wave director Žika Pavlović.
Digimedia produced the film in coproduction with British Buca Productions, with support from Film Center Serbia.
The nominations for 99th Academy Awards will be announced on 21 January and the 99th Academy Awards will be held on 14 March 2027 at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, Los Angeles.
