A new Disney romantasy webcomic series will launch on Webtoon. The initiative, “Disney Cursed Love,” was announced at Disney’s annual fan convention, D23, last weekend. Don’t expect kid-friendly material here. Seductive is a word used to describe the series inspired by some of Disney’s “most iconic love stories.”

Disney Publishing says “Disney Cursed Love” will:

• be inspired by some of Disney’s “most iconic love stories”
• expand into print formats in 2027
• “engage readers through seductive, action-packed romantasy adventure, entangled in dark magic, terrible curses and epic romance”
• kick off with a Beauty and the Beast-inspired romantasy

Sorry to the shifter romance fans, but Beast will be in his human form in The Curse of a Forsaken Heart. The first installment of the Disney romantasy webomic series, written by Emily McIntire and illustrated by Samairu, features:

• Belle and Beast transported to a magical world
• New characters Emberlynne and Lucan
• Rivals to lovers romance with will they or won’t they tension
• A quest to break a curse
