Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayA man has died in France after contracting the world’s first documented human case of Shamonda virus. The World Health Organization (WHO) said on Friday that the virus was unlikely to pose a wider public health threat, as the man was severely immunocompromised. Shamonda virus is typically found in livestock, with infected cattle showing diarrhea, weakness, loss of appetite and sometimes fever. It is suspected that the victim of the virus was bitten by a midge carrying the virus in eastern France after it had circulated among livestock earlier in 2026.
