DENVER (KDVR) - Denver will see more sunshine in Denver today with warmer temperatures that near 90 degrees before evening storm chances.

Weather today: Warmer with late storms

Sunny skies are back today with highs topping out near the 90-degree mark. There is the chance for some afternoon storms in the high country that turn to evening storm chances for Denver.

There is also an Air Quality Alert until 4 p.m. with higher levels of ozone at ground level, sensitive groups should limit time outside.

Weather tonight: Early clouds

Clouds from an evening shower or storm will linger for the first half of the night with clearing skies into Wednesday morning. Overnight lows will be near 60 degrees with a slowing wind.

Looking ahead: Staying near 90°

Wednesday will be dry for the Front Range, but there are small mountain shower chances. Highs on Wednesday will be in the lower 90s. Thursday brings back some late storm chances in the metro area with hot highs in the low 90s and partly cloudy skies.

The 4th will have a mix of sun and clouds with afternoon storm chances and seasonal highs in the upper 80s. Saturday has more sunshine with storm chances later in the day, after highs reach the upper 80s. We should see 90-degree highs on Sunday with partly cloudy skies and small storm chances. Monday also has small storm chances, extra clouds, and highs near 90 degrees.
