Weather today: Hot and sunny
It'll be a hot day in Denver as temperatures climb to the upper 90s and possibly the lower 100s. The area will see mainly sunny skies with some extra clouds arriving in the afternoon. Wednesday's daily record is 100 degrees, set in 2022.

There is a heat advisory from 10 a.m. through 9 p.m. Wednesday as highs near triple digits and an Air Quality Alert until 4 p.m. with high levels of ozone at ground level. This means Wednesday is a Pinpoint Weather Alert Day with high heat impacting the metro area.




Weather tonight: Extra clouds
The extra clouds from the afternoon linger into the early overnight hours with a light breeze before midnight. Low temperatures are also above average in the middle 60s.

Looking ahead: Rain chances bring relief from heat
Thursday is another hot afternoon with highs in the lower 90s, partly cloudy skies and chances for some afternoon storms. Storm chances are higher on Friday afternoon, but it will be more comfortable as highs dip into the lower 80s with a mix of sun and clouds.
Saturday kicks off the weekend with just below average highs in the middle 80s with partly cloudy skies and small storm chances.

Sunday is a bit warmer with highs reaching the lower 90s with partly to mainly sunny skies. Monday is very similar as highs hang out in the lower 90s, skies are sunny, but Denver will add in small storm chances.
Tuesday has partly cloudy skies with afternoon storm chances and highs in the upper 80s.
