Weather today: Sunny and hot
The sunny skies will stick around for Thursday afternoon as highs climb back into the lower 90s. The mountains can see extra clouds through the afternoon with the chance for some pop-up storms.

There is also another Air Quality Alert in effect along I-25 until 4pm with high levels of ozone at the base of the foothills.

Weather tonight: More clouds
Clouds from the mountains move in overnight with mild lows in the lower 60s. The wind will slow as there could be the chance for a spotty shower in the early morning hours of the 4th.

Looking ahead: Hot with scattered storm chances
The 4th of July will have partly to mainly sunny skies with chances for an afternoon storm. High temperatures on Friday will be seasonal in the upper 80s. Saturday kicks off the weekend with the 90s making a return with partly cloudy skies and small storm chances.

Sunday finishes off the holiday weekend with a mix of sun and clouds, small storm chances and warm highs in the upper 80s. Monday starts the next workweek with chances for some afternoon storms with hot highs near 90 degrees and partly sunny skies.

Tuesday will begin to dry out the forecast with mainly sunny skies and hot highs in the lower 90s. We'll keep the lower 90s in the forecast headed into mid-week with plenty of sunshine and hot temperatures on Wednesday afternoon.
