Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayDENVER (KDVR) — More showers and storms are on the way for Denver Wednesday afternoon, none of which are expected to be severe. Look for patchy fog to start out Wednesday morning before burning off at around 8 a.m.

Weather today: Afternoon showers and storms
High temperatures this afternoon top out in the upper 70s and lower 80s. More thunderstorms are going to be possible in the afternoon and evening, with the first push of light to moderate rain showers occurring around lunch time.
Severe weather is not expected in the metro, but some stronger storms could fire off across the northeast plains bringing heavy downpours and gusty winds.

Weather tonight: Showers wrap up
Showers and storms wrap up around 9 p.m. tonight. Winds will be out of the northwest anywhere from 5-15 mph with gusts as high as 20 mph. All of this will be done under partly cloudy skies.

Looking ahead: Up and down temperatures
Drier and warmer weather is in the forecast for us on Thursday with mostly sunny skies. Temperatures return into the middle to upper 80s before jumping to the 90s by Friday and Saturday. Both Friday and Saturday will also feature sunny skies and dry air.

Temperatures dip back to the middle 80s Sunday, which is also when rain chances return. Rain chances will continue through the first couple of days next week, with below normal highs in the lower 80s coming back to end the month of June.
