Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayDENVER (KDVR) — We have a sunny start to our Monday before increasing clouds and isolated storm chances return to the forecast. Storms to the north and east will likely be strong to severe, as there is both a slight and an enhanced risk for severe weather. The primary threats today will be strong winds, large hail and even some isolated tornadoes.

Most of the storms will fire off between the hours of 2 and 8 PM before calming down later on this evening.

Weather today: Hot with afternoon storms
We start off today with plenty of sunshine and dry conditions. As we approach the late morning and early afternoon clouds will increase ahead of isolated storm chances in the metro. We are under a marginal risk for severe weather so there could be a stronger isolated storm this afternoon, keep an eye to the sky if you have any outdoor plans.

Weather tonight: Mostly clear skies
Tonight features mostly clear skies as overnight lows drop into the upper 50s and lower 60s. Winds will be out of the southwest anywhere from 5-15 mph.

Looking ahead: Hot and dry midweek
Sunshine and hot weather dominate the forecast Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday, high temperatures will climb to the upper 90s, which is just shy of the daily record of 100 degrees set in 2022.

Then, scattered showers and thunderstorms move in Friday, which will help to keep temperatures cooler, only reaching a high in the 80s. Warmer and drier conditions move back in by the weekend, though, with a more seasonal high in the upper 80s Saturday and 90s back in the forecast Sunday.
