Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayDENVER (KDVR) — Above average temperatures return to the Denver weather forecast briefly today. High temperatures will be in the 90s under mostly sunny skies before a cold front knock temperatures down to seasonal levels tomorrow.

Weather today: Sunny and hot
Temperatures this morning start in the 60s and 70s before skyrocketing into the middle to lower 90s under mostly sunny skies. There will be more clouds by the afternoon with a chance of isolated showers across the eastern plains. Winds will be out of the northeast this afternoon anywhere from 5-15 mph.

Weather tonight: Quiet and mild
Partly cloudy skies dominate the area overnight as lows drop into the upper 50s and lower 60s. It could get breezy at times, with winds out of the southwest anywhere from 5-15 mph and gusts as high as 20 mph.

Looking ahead: Rainy start to July
Cooler air is on the way for the last day of June, high temperatures will be in the upper 70s and lower 80s. The best chance for scattered rain and storms will come Monday, too. The severe weather risk Monday is low.

Temperatures do rebound starting Tuesday, the first day of July. Spotty showers will stay in the forecast most of next week, which means we’ll need to watch the forecast closely for the Independence Day holiday next Friday. Thankfully, no excessive heat is in the forecast, with seasonal heat expected through the first week of July.
