Although rain is unlikely Friday and Saturday, a slightly better rain chance arrives Sunday.

Saturday will be the hottest day of the next week. A cold front will knock temperatures back to seasonal levels Sunday.
Weather today: Sunny and hot

Afternoon highs around Denver will be in the lower to middle 90s with clouds increasing in the afternoon. A few isolated showers or storms will be possible again in the late afternoon, mainly over the eastern plains. Winds will be a little breezy with gusts up to 20 miles per hour.
Weather tonight: Quiet and mild

Skies will be mostly clear overnight and temperatures remain unseasonably mild with lows only in the low 60s waking up Saturday morning. Winds will still have an occasional gust up to 20 miles per hour.
Looking ahead: Wetter weather pattern possible to start July
Monday will be the coolest day of the next seven when temperatures only reach the lower 80s. Our best chance for scattered rain and storms will come Monday too. The severe weather risk Monday is low.

Temperatures do rebound starting Tuesday, the first day of July. Spotty showers will stay in the forecast most of next week, which means we'll need to watch the forecast closely for the Independence Day holiday next Friday. Thankfully, no excessive heat is in the forecast with seasonal heat expected through the first week of July.
