The Pinpoint Weather team said temperatures could near triple digits on Friday. Heat advisories are in place for the majority of the eastern half of Colorado from 11 a.m. through 6 p.m.
Cooling centers available in the Denver metro include operating recreation centers and public library branches.
Some cooling center recreation center options include:
- Ashland Recreation Center at 2475 W Dunkeld Place
- Cook Park Recreation Center at 7100 Cherry Creek South Dr.
- Eisenhower Recreation Center at 4300 E. Dartmouth Ave.
- Glenarm Recreation Center at 2800 Glenarm Place
Some cooling center Denver Public Library options include:
- Central Library at 10 W. Fourteenth Ave. Pkwy
- Athmar Park Branch Library at 1055 S. Tejon St.
- Bear Valley Branch Library at 5171 W. Dartmouth Ave.
- Blair-Caldwell African American Research Library at 2401 Welton St.
- Decker Branch Library at 1501 S. Logan St.
