Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayDENVER (KDVR) -- Colorado Rockies President & Chief Operating Officer Greg Feasel will be stepping down from his position at the end of 2025, following 30 years with the team.
The team announced the change on Thursday. Former Vice President of Corporate Partnerships Walker Manfort has moved into the role of executive vice president of the Rockies — effective immediately — as part of the transition.
Dick Monfort, Rockies owner, chairman and chief executive officer, called Feasel a "pillar" of the organization and said he was "instrumental" to the team's "many successes" over the years.
"(Feasel's) leadership and vision helped shape not only the Colorado Rockies organization, but the entire baseball community throughout the Rocky Mountain region," Dick Monfort said, in a statement.
Feasel has been with the Rockies front office since 1995, initially as the team's vice president of sales and marketing. He was promoted to executive vice president and chief operating officer in 2010 and then club president in April 2021.
“While it is bittersweet to step aside from a job I love, this is something Dick and I have been discussing for a number of years,” Feasel said, in a statement. "It has been a privilege to work for this franchise over the last 30 years, and I’m incredibly grateful to Dick for the opportunity to help guide and grow the Colorado Rockies."
Feasel added that he would be working with Walker Monfort in the coming months to ensure a "seamless transition." He said he will also be staying involved with the team as a limited partner and member of the Colorado Rockies Foundation board.
News of Feasel's pending departure comes amid a down season for the Rockies, who currently sit in last place in the National League West division and have the worst record in the league at 18-62.
The Rockies play next on Thursday at home against the Los Angeles Dodgers, with first pitch set for 1:10 p.m.
