Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayDENVER (KDVR) — Thousands upon thousands of barbershop singers traveled to Denver for the week-long Barbershop Harmony Society International Convention for 2025.
The event brought together singers from all over the world to meet fellow enthusiasts in celebration of the old art form.
The convention also allowed the attendees to show off their barbershop singing chops in multiple competitions in various disciplines.
One of the groups in attendance didn't have to travel far to attend the international convention, and provided the event with some local pride after taking fifth place in one of the singing competitions.
The "Sound of the Rockies," a chorus group from Colorado, finished as the fifth-place team in the worldwide barbershop chorus singing competition, according to the Barbershop Harmony Society website.
The chorus competition featured 39 teams and thousands of singers.
The top-five finishers included:
- The Vocal Majority, Dallas: 2,301 points
- "Bridge Over the Fire and Rain" by Justin Miller
- "Nothing Can Stop Me Now(Parody)" by David Wright
- Music City Chorus, Nashville: 2,276 points
- "Bigger(Parody)" by Patrick McAlexander
- "My Way" by Patrick McAlexander
- Pacific Connection, Wellington, New Zealand: 2,222 points
- "Lo Ta Nu'u" by David Wright
- "I Am Moana Medley" by Aaron Dale
- Fog City Singers, Barbary Coast: 2,195 points
- "Gravity" by Jeremiah Pope
- "Take Me To The World/Starting Here, Starting Now" by Adam Bock
- Sound of the Rockies, Denver: 2,162 points
- "Home On The Range/Light Of A Clear Blue Morning" by Dan Wessler
- "Hero Medley(Parody)" by Tyler Wigginton and Darin Drown
With teams competing from Japan, New Zealand, Sweden and many more, a Colorado group proved that they have some of the best barbershop vocals in the world.
