Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayDENVER (KDVR) — Heads up, drivers of U.S. 36 westbound: Two lanes of the highway were closed in Broomfield Sunday night while crews addressed buckled pavement.
The Colorado Department of Transportation closed two left lanes between Wadsworth Boulevard and East Flatiron Crossing as of 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.
The Broomfield Police Department shared a photo of the buckled pavement and said that it was located at milepost 46.8.
This is not the first time U.S. 36 has been subject to buckled pavement: In July 2019, pavement buckled near the Church Ranch Boulevard overpass. That pavement issue was in the eastbound lanes, and CDOT said the damage was possibly due to heat.
