PATNA: Vijendra Nath Tiwari, elder brother of Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi, was seriously injured after being attacked with an axe in Belsand village of Gopalganj district, police said on Monday.Vijendra was sitting outside his house when some people arrived and suddenly attacked him.

Vijendra collapsed on the spot, bleeding heavily.The assailants fled as locals and family members rushed to the scene.He was first taken to the emergency ward of Sadar Hospital.After primary treatment, doctors referred him to PMCH (Patna Medical College Hospital) due to the severity of his injuries.The incident is related to land dispute.The incident took place on Sunday evening under the jurisdiction of Barauli police station.One person has been arrested in the matter, police said.
