The incident occurred in the 11500 block of East Virginia Place.

Police said that Rivera-Garcia fled the incident in a black, white and gray 2000 flatbed tow truck that had temporary Colorado plate 7353534 in the back window.

The wife was taken to a local hospital with multiple gunshot wounds, but is expected to survive the injuries.

APD said he is still on the run, and the tow truck has not been found either.

Investigators ask that anyone with information contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867, where they can be kept anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
