PROTECT YOUR DNA WITH QUANTUM TECHNOLOGY
Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayGOLDEN, Colo. (KDVR) — Troy Mehrer, a senior tech with Fix It 24/7, says it's been nothing but back-to-back calls, people trying to get their air conditioning right during the hottest week of the year so far, something he says could be avoided.
“We work, you know, 12, 14-hour days, seven days a week,” Mehrer said.
Record-breaking calls, double the amount of clients they normally see at this time just last year.
“It's been busy, I mean crazy busy. I mean call after call after call,” Mehrer said.
Over 200 calls on Friday and Saturday alone — calls for things like frozen coils, broken fans and low refrigerant. Calls, Mehrer says, that are common when the heat spikes.
“They turn some, turn it down to, like, 60s, you know, and I'm like, 'no, please don't,' you know, and they think the lower it is, the better it is for it, and that's not true, you know,” Mehrer said.
This being the first heatwave of the summer, Mehrer says it is vital to be prepared for the rest of the summer: calling before the heat hits.
“Check filters, you know, check refrigerant levels, read the capacitor readings, check the coil, make sure that's clean. Your blower motor is clean. We pull that out, you know, we check it all,” Mehrer said.
