Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayDENVER (KDVR) -- A 44-year-old man riding as a passenger in a truck traveling the wrong way down westbound Interstate 76 on Friday night died after the truck struck another vehicle near Federal Boulevard.
Adams County Fire Rescue said in a post on X that it responded to a rollover crash at 11 p.m. and that two other people were transported "non emergent" to the hospital.
The Colorado State Patrol told Fox31 that the crash involved a GMC Sierra truck and a Honda CRV. The agency said the driver of the Sierra, a 62-year-old man, was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the Honda, a 23-year-old woman, was also transported to the hospital with minor injuries, the agency said.
CSP said the crash occurred after the Honda swerved to avoid the truck, which was traveling east in the westbound lane. The left side of the Honda stuck the passenger side of the truck, causing the truck to roll.
Charges are pending for the driver of the truck, the agency said. The incident shut down I-76 in both directions but it has since been reopened.
