Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayIn a free event open to the general public, San José will celebrate International Yoga Day this Saturday, joining a global event that brings together millions of people in more than 180 countries.
In Costa Rica, the event will take place at La Casa del Cuño, in the Antigua Aduana, from 8 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The program will combine yoga, meditation, mindful breathing, and music, offering a space for gathering, well-being, and connection for people of all ages.
In addition, special guests from Asoyoga and the University of Costa Rica (UCR) will lead a discussion on the philosophy of yoga. The day will conclude with meditation and music featuring mantras.
“The event is open to the general public, although advance registration is required because space is limited,” explained The Art of Living, the event’s organizer.
Proclaimed by the United Nations in 2014, International Yoga Day recognizes the contribution of this ancient practice to physical, mental, and emotional health, promoting healthier lifestyles and greater individual and social harmony.
No prior experience required
The event is designed for both people who practice yoga regularly and those who wish to try this discipline for the first time. No prior experience is required to participate.
Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, founder of The Art of Living and a world-renowned authority on yoga and meditation, states: “Yoga is not simply a series of physical postures. It is a tool for living with more energy, mental clarity, joy, and connection with oneself and others.”
