After months of pushing for greater control in Greenland, U.S. President Donald Trump says he's struck a security agreement with Denmark and Greenland. In a Truth Social post, Trump wrote the agreement gives the U.S. permanent authority to address its security concerns in Greenland and will lead to a larger U.S. military presence on the mineral-rich island. He also says U.S. adversaries will be barred from establishing bases or making sensitive investments without Washington’s approval. Denmark says a formal agreement is expected to be signed next week.
